Email Marketing 101
If you aren’t thinking of collecting email addresses on your new websites, you should think twice. Sales 101 says that it’s easier to convert an existing lead than find a new person to pitch your product.
By establishing an email list, you can send out sales and coupons, new products, offers or announcements. A business doesn’t need to commit to a monthly or bi-weekly mailing, although many companies do.
Collecting email addresses on your website doesn’t have to be complicated. Today, most companies use a 3rd party email handler to send their promotions and newsletters via email. Your website simply transfers the email addresses to this email handler, you type your message, and hit the send button.
CAN-SPAM is the government regulations on commercial email. For the sake of CAN-SPAM alone, it’s advised that you use a 3rd party email handler for bulk email. However, there are plenty of low cost options available, with email rates as low as cents an email.
